ATLANTA -- Good afternoon, all.
Still waiting for a verdict on Brett Myers' status, and I expect we'll have something in about 90 minutes, before the Phillies take batting practice. Meanwhile, I'll direct your attention to a story in The Paper today, in which Pat Gillick suggested that the Phillies would replace Myers (if they replace him) with a minor leaguer, likely J.A. Happ. In the same vein, he said that neither Chad Durbin nor Ryan Madson would likely be removed from their bullpen roles to replace Myers. Of course, the Phillies could utilize yesterday's off-day to delay Myers' next start until Friday night at the Bank, where he pitches better than he does on the road.
Last chance to weigh in: If you were the Phillies, how would handle the situation?
