One quick programming note: To coincide with the opening of spring training next week, Ryan Howard will be featured by Real Sports, the Emmy-winning HBO program that, for my money, is the best sports-magazine show on television. Howard will be interviewed by Bryant Gumble, and according to a press release I received today from HBO, the interview will focus on Howard's rise to prominence as a top slugger in baseball's post-steroids era. The show will debut at 10 p.m. Monday and will re-air throughout the month.
