Interesting choice made by Joe Torre...
Closer Takashi Saito, who wasn't particularly effective since returning last month from a torn elbow ligament, has been left off the Dodgers' roster. Torre opted to keep lefty Hong-Chih Kuo, giving the Dodgers three lefties to help neutralize Ryan Howard and Chase Utley.
Here's the rest of the Dodgers' roster:
Pitchers (11): Right-handers Derek Lowe, Chad Billingsley, Hiroki Kurodi, Jonathan Broxton (closer), Cory Wade, Chan Ho Park, Greg Maddux and James McDonald; lefties Joe Beimel, Hong-Chih Kuo and Clayton Kershaw.
Infielders (8): James Loney, Blake DeWitt, Rafael Furcal, Casey Blake, Nomar Garciaparra, Jeff Kent, Angel Berroa, Pablo Ozuna.
Outfielders (4): Manny Ramirez, Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, Juan Pierre.
Catchers (2): Russell Martin, Danny Ardoin.
