May 12 -- ROLLINS BATTING FIFTH

Martin Frank filling in for Scott Lauber tonight at Citizens Bank Park. After nearly two days of deliberating about what to do with struggling Jimmy Rollins (.195 average, .231 OBP), Charlie Manuel has come up with this lineup for tonight's series-opener against the Dodgers:

CF Shane Victorino
2B Chase Utley
RF Jayson Werth
1B Ryan Howard
SS Jimmy Rollins
LF Raul Ibanez
3B Pedro Feliz
C Carlos Ruiz
RHP Chan Ho Park

Like it? Hate it? What do you think?

I kind of like it.

Rollins in front of Ibanez jumps out, but considering the "trying to break up the lefties" aspect, it seems pretty smart. Utley batting 2nd, with Werth 3rd, might prove to be the best part of this lineup.

Can't live long with Werth hitting third. Although if Rollins ever starts hitting he could swap with him.

Under the comments for May 10th, I came very close to getting it right. . . I had Ibanez and Rollins flip-flopped ... which I still maintain is better ... Ibanez is too good a hitter to have Rollins in front of him ending an inning in an RBI situation.
