June 11 -- OZUNA SUSPENDED

BY SCOTT LAUBER

NEW YORK -- Quick note to pass along from a press release distributed by MLB: Lehigh Valley infielder Pablo Ozuna has been suspended 50 games after showing an "elevated testosterone/epitestosterone radio." The raised testosterone levels usually result from taking a performance-enhancing drug.

Ozuna, a 34-year-old who played well in spring training after signing with the Phillies last winter as a minor-league free agent, was batting .294 with 15 RBIs for Lehigh Valley. He's a .282 career hitter with three homers and 45 RBIs in 309 major-league games over parts of seven seasons with the Marlins, Rockies and White Sox.

In a statement, Ruben Amaro Jr. said, "It is unfortunate that Pablo has been suspended for 50 games. However, the Phillies are in full support of the major and minor league drug prevention and treatment program."

Jimmy Rollins is leading off again tonight, despite going 0-for-5 last night. He'd been 5-for-8 in the previous two games in the No. 6 hole.
