BY SCOTT LAUBERNEW YORK -- Through a team spokesman, we just received this update on Brad Lidge:
Team physician Dr. Michael Ciccotti said another MRI exam was unnecessary. He detected inflammation in the knee joint, but there are no signs of structural damage. Ciccotti administered another cortisone injection (Lidge had a shot in April, too). Lidge is expected to rejoin the Phillies here tomorrow to begin a rehab program.
I'll have a chance to talk to Lidge at that time.
