Feb. 15 -- BACK TO THE FUTURE

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Good morning, all. T-minus six hours until Ryan Howard addresses the media. Got any questions you want me to ask? Now's the time to send your suggestions. Comcast SportsNet will televise it live at 1 p.m., so set your DVRs. Actually, just keep hitting that refresh button. I'll post plenty of comments from Howard throughout the day once they become available.

A few notes before I head to the Complex:

* When Cole Hamels spoke out in September about his belief that the Phillies must hire a team chiropractor, there were plenty of volunteers, at least judging by the flood of e-mails I received from Delaware Valley chiropractors who were willing to offer their services to Hamels and any other interested players. Well, deep within the 50-center today, you'll read that the Phillies have agreed to hire a chiropractor to be named later (get your resumes in today!) to work with players before and after home games. Also, they're developing a network of chiropractors in NL cities for players to see. A victory for the chiropractic community, to be sure, and for Hamels, it's like Christmas. He believes chiropractic care is essential to staying healthy, and now, it'll be easier for him to get that care.

* Tom Gordon will never forget his first major-league spring training. It was 1988. He was a 20-year-old prospect in the Royals' system. And all he wanted to do was meet George Brett. Gordon said he was so excited to meet Brett that he forgot to tell his mom that he made the team. Twenty years later, Gordon is still pitching, albeit through a partially torn labrum in his shoulder. But after working with a specialist in Orlando four times a week during the offseason, he says he feels strong and believes he can stay healthy for the entire season. Time will tell.

* For all you numerologists, Adam Eaton has changed his number, from No. 23 to No. 21. Will it change his fortunes? Also, Kris Benson will wear No. 34, so rush out and order those jerseys today!

Check back later. We'll have much, much more from what I expect will be a busy day here.

I would ask Howard what hes done in the offseason to improve his fielding/defensive skills and/or, what hes done in the offseason to see the ball at the plate better, and hopefully eliminate his high K rate.
i think these are two of his weaker points, and i doubt he didnt do anything about them whilst on break.

Chiropracter? What the Philles need is a witch doctor.

Ask Ryan Howard if he has modeled his swing after Butch Huskey's artistic approach?
