Oct. 2 -- THE LOUDEST, FOR BETTER AND FOR WORSE

By CHRISTOPHER YASIEJKO

Five runs in an inning against CC Sabathia? It happened, and the fans took note. But they have booed, too, so here are the three loudest boos and cheers as we enter the bottom of the third inning:

Boos:
1. No sooner had Brett Myers struck out the game's leadoff hitter than he walked Ray Durham on four pitches.
2. With one out in the first and the bases loaded, Myers walked J.J. Hardy, forcing in the game's first run.
3. The fans knew who would be the game's decisive player, so they wasted no time in booing Sabathia during the introductions.

Cheers:
1. Shane Victorino clubbed a grand slam to left field in the bottom of the Phils' five-run second inning.
2. Myers challenged CC Sabathia like few others have lately. And with each of several pitches he fouled off before drawing a walk, the crowd roared with approval.
3. Victorino, in his first at-bat, doubled up the third-base line. The noise that drew was eclipsed a moment later when he stole third.
