Oct. 14 -- ABOUT LAST NIGHT

BY SCOTT LAUBER

LOS ANGELES -- So, here's how this newspaper thing works when the Phillies (or any of our local teams) are on the West Coast: We have deadlines for various editions, and where you live determines what edition you receive. Generally speaking, the farther away from Wilmington that you live, the earlier your edition is.

Anyway, because of the late finish last night, I'm not sure how many of y'all got a Phillies game story with quotes in your newspaper. Fortunately, we have the Internet, so if you want to know what Matt Stairs thought about his big home run, or what any of the Phillies thought about their Game 4 victory,
please click here.

Aren't you glad Cole Hamels didn't pitch on short rest yesterday? Now, he's available to pitch in the possible clinching game tomorrow night. Also, within the notebook, we have details on the fines doled out to the Phillies and Dodgers for their Game 3 brouhaha.

Martin Frank wrote about how it's a little different here in La La Land.
