Lots and lots of baseball in The Paper today.

-A Phillies-Rays matchup brings together an old-school GM (Pat Gillick) and a new-school GM (Andrew Friedman) whose philosophies on building a team are more similar than you might think.
-Game 1 starters Scott Kazmir (more on him later) and Cole Hamels have been following each other's careers for a long time.
-A position-by-position look at how the Phillies and Rays match up
-Martin Frank writes that Tampa Bay stands in the way of another Philly championship bid.
-Kevin Roberts writes than Jimmy Rollins and Pat Burrell, in particular, have been waiting a long time for this World Series
-Within the notebook, we speculate on who may be the Phillies' DH tonight (I'm betting on Chris Coste) and look at Rays closer David Price and more.
-Kevin Noonan wonders if FOX is happy about this World Series matchup
-Brad Lidge says, once again, that the Phillies' bullpen is the best he has ever been a part of
-In another life, before he was a Phillies scout, Chuck LaMar helped build the Rays.
-Who are these Rays and how did they get here?.
-A look back at the Phillies' past World Series, with stats courtesy of longtime PR honcho and Wilmingtonian Larry Shenk
-Back home, fans are breaking out all of the superstitions to help the Phillies along.
-Even school teachers are talking about the Phillies.

More in a bit from the Trop Dome, where we'll have a new World Series audiofile, lineups and much more.

What the funk! Seems that WDEL cowd down to the mighty dollar! Instead of covering the full game they opted to cover only the first 1st hour! Shame! SHAME! Philadelphia Phillies have Delaware fans too! And yet, the mighty, WDEL caved in! PITY! PITY! PITY!
